ROV
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS FOR PROJECTS

The contractor shall ready The ROV and all the related services and equipment to fullfill the project. The provided ROV for the project will be outfitted according to the task’s requirement. ROV will be task ready according to the advised operating way. ROV/s will be outfitted with necessary manipulators and mechanical arms and thrusters engines to be able to conduct lifting and or placing, pushing, pulling operations under strong currents without being effected adversely.

The ROV should be compatible with related design codes and ruggedness standards. The ROV offered by the Contractor is under the approval of the management. The approved ROV will be withheld to pre-dive tests before the task commences. ROV will be able to perform in 90 m depth with 2 knots of currents from any directions. Furthermore the contractor is also responsible to research the real currents of the geographical worksite beforehand and ready the ROV accordingly.

As long as it is within the management’s approval another small (manned/unmanned) submarine with similar capabilities is acceptable. The contractor may offer another ROV that is in the market, for fulfilling the task with the management’s approval.

The ROV to be offered must be able to perform the following;

- Close visual inspection,
- Low visibility heads up display,
- Distance measuring
- Cathodic protection measuring (probe and bridge system),
- Grabbingand Cutting,

To be able to do these ROV must,

- Be able to maintain 0,5 knot at working depth,
- Be able to maintain manouverabilityat working depth,
- Be able to adjust its cameras (adjustable distance one top two on sides) 30 cms away from the target.
- Accurate metric measuring with maximum 1% mistake.
- Lifting capacity must be able to perform in afore mentioned standards.
- Thruster system must be able to perform in afore mentioned standards.
- Lighting: Must be enough for complete operation.

When the Job requires ROV will be outfitted with below functions;

- Gyro Compass
- Depth Sensor
- Altitude Echo-sounder
- Motion Sensor
- Contunious CP

b) Positioning System Equipments

- Two types of positioning equipments;
- Primary positioning equipments
- Submarine positioning equipments

Primary positioning equipments:

For all operations the navigational tolerance must be 1 meter (Sigma =0.5 metre). DGPS system must be used for positioning.

Submarine positioning equipments

The relative positioning of ROV according to support ship must be tracked over (USBL) system. Submarine system must be calibrated according to ongoing traffic in site.

c) Sea craft

The sea craft to be used must be classified according to safety measurements. The sea craft must be big enough to accommodate the required personnel and equipment with ample storage area, and must be equipped with necessary launch and recovery gears. Sea craft must be approved by the management.

Lateral positioning system must be doubled, one of them to be kept as a spare. Both systems must be DGPS with 0,5 metre tolerance. The ship must be ROV friendly with enough experience. The ship must be able to maintain its position under 2-3 knots of current in beufort force 4-6. The ship must have the following;

- A navigation system. Ship’s computer, connected to both primary and submarine positioning system, able to identify Ship’s ROV’s and pipeline’s positions in detail. Back ups for ship’ computer’s systems all the softwares and interfaces. All the raw and computed material will be kept under record and the software will support the making of navigational charts and tables.
- Acoustic tracking system for ROV positioning.
- Echo-sounder for shallow water ops.
- A navigational computer to form an interface between primary and submarine positioning systems.
-A monitor at the bridgeto provide situational awareness to captain of the ship about the operation.
- The ship provided by the contractor will be compatible to any and all national and international regulations related to the task. The management keeps the right to inspect the ship at any time during or prior to operation. Any statement from the management about the ship is dominating over the contractor.

A detailed report will be submitted to the management about the following:

a) Working conditions

General description,

- general description of the auxiliary/s.
- detailed description of first aid and safety conditions,

b) ROV

- Regulations for classifications,
- General displacement of the submarine,
- Filling of the list for unmanned submarine characteristics,

Sea craft

Regulations for classifications,

- General displacement of the sea craft,
- Description of the devices to be used to salvage the submarine,
- Filling of the list for the sea craft characteristics,

To have the necessary capacity to complete the task,

d) Input collecting system

- Tecnhnical description of the devices,
